Earlier, on May 14, 2026, FIFA and Global Citizen had revealed that Madonna, Shakira, and BTS would co-headline the show. On July 8, Global Citizen CEO and founder Hugh Evans announced on Instagram that Justin Bieber had been added to the lineup. The 11-minute halftime performance is curated by Coldplay's Chris Martin.
It will also feature Burna Boy, conductor Gustavo Dudamel, and the PS22 Chorus featuring Coldplay. The event supports the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to raise $100 million to expand access to quality education and football opportunities for children worldwide. As per Global Citizen official site, it has already raised over $50 million.
