A major WWE star paid tribute to Sheamus at a recent event. The veteran will reportedly be exiting the company later this year.
Damian Priest and Solo Sikoa recently competed in a singles match at a live event. During the match, Priest got Sikoa against the ropes and hit the former Bloodline star with 10 Beats of the Bodhrán as a way to pay tribute to The Celtic Warrior. You can check out the cool moment in the Instagram video below.
Priest and R-Truth are the reigning WWE Tag Team Champions on SmackDown. Solo Sikoa has aligned with LA Knight and Royce Keys and will be facing The Usos and Jacob Fatu in a six-man tag team match at SummerSlam.
Sheamus has not competed in a match since teaming up with John Cena and Rey Mysterio to defeat The Judgment Day on the November 17, 2025, episode of RAW. The veteran was reportedly asked to restructure his contract with the promotion, and he refused. It was reported earlier this week that his contract with the company will expire on October 1.
Wrestling legend JBL revealed that he wanted to see Sheamus show up in AAA once his contract expired.
Speaking on Something to Wrestle, JBL pitched AAA as the 48-year-old's next stop once his contract came to an end. JBL suggested that the former leader of The Brawling Brutes might feel rejuvenated by a change of scenery.
The popular star spent almost 19 years in the promotion. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Sheamus in the world of professional wrestling.
