Marina Shafir was taken down after she came into the crosshairs of a male AEW star at their newest pay-per-view show, Redemption 2026.
The aforementioned star in question is one-half of the Young Bucks, Matt Jackson. He and his brother Nick Jackson were scheduled to battle Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley in a tag team match at the event. The Death Riders duo were accompanied by their cohort, Marina Shafir, who observed the action from ringside. Right from the opening bell, it was a back-and-forth bout between both sides.
However, the match took an interesting turn when the action went outside the ring. A spot saw Matt Jackson having a slight upper hand on Will Ospreay, lining him up for a superkick. Matt came at him in full force, but the former AEW International Champion moved out of the way, and it was Marina Shafir who took the kick, getting knocked down on the floor. Matt was coolly apologetic and quickly shifted focus to get Ospreay with another superkick attempt. You can check out the clip below:
The match continued after Matt Jackson accidentally took Marina Shafir down. Nick Jackson and Jon Moxley were the legal men in the ring as Will Ospreay was out of the equation. In the final moments of the match, Matt and Nick Jackson unload with a series of superkicks on the former AEW World Champion.
The Young Bucks delivered a thunderous double superkick on Moxley, allowing Nick Jackson to cover him for the three-count and win the match for his team. The duo celebrated, while it was a setback for Will Ospreay, who took a defeat at a major event just a month before he challenges for the Men's World title at All In 2026. So, it remains to be seen what is next for the Death Riders.
