A man killed his neighbour over a trivial issue in Tolagi village near Khanapur of Belagavi district on Tuesday.

The police officers from Nandagad arrested 28-year-old Ashok Rama Ugarakoda on the charge of hacking 48-year-old Amir Hussain Paschapur to death during a fight over diverting gutter water behind his house.

The accused was arrested within an hour of the offence. The victim died on the way to hospital.
