Manchester United are reportedly interested in Crystal Palace forward Ismaïla Sarr. The Red Devils are moving quickly in the transfer market after the winger's performance at the FIFA World Cup.

According to a report in Foot Mercato, Sarr is the new target for Manchester United as they look to add a winger this summer. They see the Crystal Palace star as the ideal player to add to Michael Carrick's side.

Sarr performed well at the FIFA World Cup with Senegal, scoring four goals, including a stunner in the loss to Belgium. His goal has been named as one of the best in the tournament, and that has attracted interest from several clubs.

Crystal Palace are yet to make a decision on their star player, who has scored 21 times for them in 45 games and played a key part in their UEFA Conference League triumph. The London side are in talks to sell Maxence Lacroix to Chelsea, and are unlikely to sanction another star player's sale.

The Senegal star is among the wingers the Red Devils are keeping tabs on, and are not pushing for him yet. They also have Everton's Iliman Ndiaye and West Ham United's Crycensio Summerville on their radar.

Marcus Rashford's future will be key in their plan to sign a new deal, as the winger looks for a permanent exit after his loan spells at Aston Villa and Barcelona.

Marcus Rashford spoke to the media earlier this month, admitting that he wanted to seal his exit from Manchester United before the FIFA World Cup. However, Barcelona opted to sign Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United instead of activating the clause to sign the Red Devils star permanently.

"As a person, I live in the moment. I was very clear with everyone involved before the World Cup. I wanted it done before, and if not, then I won’t deal with it until after that. I want to fully be present in this moment. At the same time we’re fighting for something. I don’t have energy to be putting into other things."

Marcus Rashford's £40 million release clause has expired, and any side interested in signing the Manchester United star will have to negotiate with the Red Devils. Reports suggest that Michael Carrick will also assess the winger and is open to keeping the forward.
