Manchester United has reached an agreement to sign Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos ahead of the 2026/27 Premier League season, reports in the British media said.
The 22-year-old Brazilian midfielder made 43 appearances for Chelsea in the previous season and can play both as a defensive and a central midfielder.
Reports state the midfieder will cost Michael Carrick’s side 48 million pounds including an extra two million in add-ons.
Santos joined the London club from Brazilian Serie A side Vasco da Gama in 2023 after playing two seasons of senior football. He had loan spells back at his first club, Nottingham Forest and Strasbourg before returning to Chelsea after the 2024-25 season.
He made his Chelsea debut against Esperance Tunis in the FIFA Club World Cup, a competition which the team won after beating Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 in the final.
Santos has been capped six times by the Brazil national team but was not included in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad for the FIFA World Cup 2026, in which the Selecao exited in the Round of 16.
