Amid talk of unity among Punjab Congress leaders following Saturday’s meeting at MLA Rana Gurjeet Singh’s residence, party circles on Sunday were abuzz over the absence of photographs of the gathering on the official Punjab Congress social media pages.

Following Saturday’s meeting of anti-Raja Warring leaders with Congress general secretary in-charge of Punjab affairs Bhupesh Baghel, no photographs of the meeting were shared either by Baghel on his social media handles or by the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC).

Throughout his Punjab visit, the official social media handles of Bhupesh Baghel and the PPCC regularly shared photographs, videos and updates of almost every meeting, interaction and dinner involving party leaders.

“However, despite the scale and political significance of the gathering at Rana Gurjit Singh’s residence, no photographs, videos, or official updates have appeared on the party’s platform,” said a senior party leader on the condition of anonymity.

Political analysts say official communication plays an important role in conveying a party’s message and reducing speculation. The silence surrounding this particular meeting has therefore raised questions about whether the omission was merely an oversight or a deliberate communication decision.
