With competition intensifying in the luxury car market in India, German luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz on Monday (July 13, 2026) announced personnel changes in its Sales & Marketing function. The organizational changes which will be effective from September 1, 2026.
In the first half of 2026, Mercedes-Benz India retailed 9,768 units, up 9% YoY. During the same period, closing the gap, rival German luxury car firm BMW Group India sold 9,075 units up 17% YoY.
As per the changes Nandita Godbole, currently GM, Digital Customer Unit will be the new Head of Marketing, succeeding Amrit Baid who will take over as GM, Retail Finance & Pre-Owned Cars business.
Jamsheed Bhadha, GM, Product Planning & Sales Planning will move to a new role within Mercedes-Benz, Dubai. He will be succeeded by Sanjay Kochar, currently GM, TEV & BEV Sales.

Ms. Godbole has previously held key roles in Mercedes-Benz India across Marketing, Retail Sales, and Digital Customer Unit, driving business growth through customer-centric and data-led strategies.
She has enabled Mercedes-Benz’s AI-led customer journey enhancements, transitioning from disconnected touchpoints into seamless, intelligent experience for customers, the company said in a statement.
“Her key priority in Marketing role will be extensive usage of real-time data and predictive insights, anticipating customer needs, delivering highly personalized interactions and fostering meaningful engagement across every stage,” the company said.
After a successful stint with Marketing & Customer Experience, which saw some stunning product launches and benchmarking brand and retail marketing campaigns like ‘Dreams Day’ ‘Wish Box’ ‘G-Tribe’ etc.,
Mr. Baid who will lead the key Retail Finance & Pre-Owned Cars business verticals will move from Marketing & Customer Experience function Mercedes-Benz India Retail Finance now supports more than 50% of total cars retailed, through financing programmes like the Star Agility.
This business vertical has grown to a portfolio exceeding ₹15,000 crores and this appointment aims at further integrating Retail Finance into Mercedes-Benz’s customer journey, the company added.
