A new possibility has surfaced that AEW star Mercedes Moné subtly revealed Bayley's potential debut date in the Jacksonville-based promotion. The possibility is supported by events at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event last week.
WWE held SNM 45 last Saturday, featuring a highly entertaining grudge match between former teammates Lyra Valkyria and Bayley. The bout saw the Irish star defeat the former two-time WWE Women's Champion in brutal fashion, as Bayley passed out to a bulldog choke. After the match, Valkyria didn't stop the assault and planted Bayley on the steel steps, suggesting that the Stamford-based promotion might be writing the Role Model off TV.
Moreover, Bayley's contract with World Wrestling Entertainment reportedly ends in Q4, suggesting she could be a free agent by October. This is noteworthy for fans who would like to see the Role Model in AEW. Last month, Bayley's close friend and AEW superstar Mercedes Moné shared a blockbuster graphic of her and Bayley locking horns at WrestleDream 2026. The pay-per-view is scheduled for October 18, 2026. Given Bayley's contract, this strongly suggests that the CEO has already given subtle hints about the Role Model's debut date in the Jacksonville-based promotion.
In an interesting turn of events, Bayley's ex-partner, Lyra Valkyria, gave fans a significant hint about the Role Model's potential exit from WWE, suggesting she could join All Elite Wrestling. This week on Monday Night RAW, Valkyria interrupted Sol Ruca's interview and expressed her desire to challenge Ruca for the Women's Intercontinental Championship.
Along with her championship intentions, the Irish star also said she feels a weight has been lifted off her after she defeated Bayley at Saturday Night Main Event and ran her "out of here." That could imply we've seen the last of Bayley in the Stamford-based promotion, which, in turn, opens the door for the Role Model in AEW.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Bayley in professional wrestling.
