In an interesting twist of events, MJF has lost his Dynamite Diamond Ring, and this is now in the possession of a popular ex-WWE Superstar. The individual appeared during tonight's show, flaunting this.
Since winning the ring in 2019, Friedman has been defending the ring annually. Last year, the stakes were increased as the man who won the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale would be facing the Salt of the Earth in a winner-takes-all match with both his ring and world title on the line. This ended up being Bandido.
MJF has been utilizing the ring to his advantage, and he has even stolen wins by using it when the referee's back is turned. Last week at Beach Break, he brought this out in desperation during his world title match against Kenny Omega. Fortunately, Will Ospreay came out and took this away from him before he could deal any further damage.
In the end, despite trying to pull off some dirty tactics, Omega was able to dethrone Big Hebrew to become a 2-time AEW World Champion. Earlier tonight on Dynamite, the ring's whereabouts after last week's events were unveiled.
Andrade El Idolo was interviewed backstage by Renee Paquette, where he revealed his current goal of meddling in the Don Callis Family's affairs. Before the segment ended, he revealed his newest prize, MJF's Dynamite Diamond Ring, which he claimed he had gotten from a good friend of his.
Renee asked him directly if he had gotten this from Will Ospreay, as they had ties together as members of United Empire. The luchador did not answer the question, and only said: "How you know?" It is safe to say that once MJF catches wind of this, he won't be happy about it. This could lead to an eventual confrontation between them for the ring.
