Two persons were arrested for hurling a Molotov cocktail at a Tasmac outlet in Krishnagiri district on Sunday evening.
The arrested were identified as Sathiyamoorthy (27), a resident of Melsomarpettai, and Thirumal alias Nitish Kumar (25). The two went to a Tasmac outlet at Panjaliyur near Krishnagiri on Sunday afternoon and demanded the staff to give them a liquor bottle at a rate below the maximum retail price. It resulted in a verbal duel and the two left the outlet. Later in the evening, the duo went back to the outlet in an inebriated state and hurled a Molotov cocktail at the outlet. In the attack, temporary staff Prakash (58), a resident of Rajaji Nagar, sustained 30% burns and was admitted to Krishnagiri Government Medical College Hospital.
The Krishnagiri Taluk police registered a case and arrested the duo and are investigating further.
