A mother and her child died after a car rammed into their two-wheeler near Madagupatti.

Kalidas, 30, a native of Velayuthapattinam Kodungulam near Kallal in Sivagangai district was traveling to his native town on a two-wheeler from Sivagangai along with his wife Madhavi, 27, and son Aryan, 3.

When they were near Madagupatti, a car which went from behind crashed into their two-wheeler.

All three traveling on the two-wheeler sustained injuries in the collision. They were admitted to the Sivagangai Government Medical College Hospital.

However, Madhavi and Aryan died during the treatment. Kalidas was taken to the Madurai Government Rajaji Hospital for further treatment.

Madagupatti police are investigating the incident.
