Bangladesh pace sensation Nahid Rana will be unavailable for the T20I series decider against Zimbabwe at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo on Sunday.
Rana picked up a side strain while bowling in the second T20I and left the field midway in his spell after bowling 2.3 overs. He has now been ruled out of the third T20I with the series tied at 1-1.
According to reports, Rana could be out for at least two to three weeks.
The 23-year-old fast bowler has been in terrific rhythm lately and recently picked up his best T20I figures of 4/26 in the first T20I.
In the three ODIs, Rana picked up seven wickets — highest wicket-taker of the series — in two games at an average of 9.85 and economy of 3.45.
Even though Bangladesh hasn’t had much success on this Zimbabwe tour, Rana’s performances have been noteworthy, making him a crucial aspect when the side travels to Australia for two Tests in August.
However, with his injury, Rana could be a doubtful starter in the tour of Australia.
