Generic drugmaker Natco Pharma has completed the acquisition of an additional 13.25% stake in South African pharmaceutical and healthcare company Adcock Ingram Holdings Proprietary.
Consequent to the acquisition, for around ZAR 1.81 billion (around ₹ 1,060 crore), its stake in Adcock Ingram has increased to 49%, Natco Pharma said on the acquisition it completed through South African subsidiary Natco Pharma South Africa Proprietary.
The additional stake acquisition is part of Natco’s long-term Africa strategy. The company said it acquired 35.75% in Adcock Ingram through its participation in the Adcock Ingram’s delisting process in 2025.
