Night At The Infirmary Update 2 has introduced a class system, giving players a way to increase their survival odds. A class offers a range of perks, such as an increased Sanity meter, enhanced Sanity gains for certain actions, faster wheelchair speed, quicker operations, and more. Players can unlock these classes with Shards, the currency earned by treating patients and surviving in the game.

Anomalies in the disguise of patients will often visit the infirmary during your night shift. They will deplete your Sanity with jumpscares, which is why it is important to maintain the meter throughout a playthrough.

There are currently nine classes in Night At The Infirmary, divided into Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary, in the ascending order of rarity. A class's rarity affects its chance of appearing in stock. Legendary classes, namely Plague Doctor and Exorcist, have an extremely low chance of being on sale.

Only the Legendary classes can be bought with Robux, aside from Shards. They offer some of the best perks in the game but are quite expensive.

The following list features every class in Night At The Infirmary, along with its cost and provided perks across all levels:

You can buy a class before entering the portal that warps you to the main game. To do so, press the classes button on the screen, select the desired class, and hit the Shards or Robux button to obtain it.

Each class begins at Level 1. You can upgrade it up to Level 3 by completing tasks during a playthrough and earning Class EXP. To view the progress for unlocking the next level, select the particular class in the classes menu and note the EXP bar below its name.

The stock in the class shop changes every 24 hours. Once the restock happens, a fresh rotation of classes becomes available for purchase. If the one you are aiming for isn't for sale, check back after the daily timer resets.

As mentioned earlier, the rarity of a class affects its stock chance. You're likely to find a single or no Legendary class on sale after a rotation.

Plague Doctor is the best class for solo playthroughs in Night At The Infirmary. Since it is a Legendary class, you'll need to wait for it to appear in stock and buy it with 360 Robux or 6000 Shards.

A user who has the Plague Doctor class equipped receives reduced effects from a depleted Sanity meter, increased operating speed, and faster wheelchair speed. They can quickly treat patients and clean their beds after an operation to gain Sanity. Even if the patients turn into anomalies and cause jumpscares, the effects will be reduced by the class.

Surgeon is the ideal class for beginners. Possessing a low price of 1000 Shards, it gives the user substantial wheelchair and operating speed boosts. At Level 3, it gives a massive 83% operating speed boost, which is great for speedruns.
