The Philadelphia Eagles boast arguably one of the NFL's best secondaries heading into the 2026 season. However, Daniel Kelly has major reservations regarding one crucial piece.
On Sunday, the former New York Jets scout took to social media to post a scathing rant about Cooper DeJean:
He continued:

Sticking to the theme of the Eagles' secondary, the other outside spot beside Quinyon Mitchell had been a weakness for the team in 2025. After Darius Slay was released following the Super Bowl LIX victory, three players rotated the starting job there: the aforementioned Cooper DeJean, Adoree' Jackson and Kelee Ringo.
For 2026, however, Howie Roseman and Nick Sirianni have brought in an upgrade in former Seattle Seahawk Riq Woolen. While he was demoted to backup in favor of Josh Jobe in 2025, he is still a former Pro Bowler and interceptions co-champion who was instrumental in that team's triumphant Super Bowl run.
Anthony Miller, a columnist for the Eagles' FanSided vertical Inside the Iggles, believes Woolen will outperform the one-year, $15-million deal he received in free agency:
The Eagles' season begins on September 13 against the Washington Commanders. Kickoff is at 4:25 p.m. ET on Fox.
