NorthEast United FC has completed the signing of defender Pramveer on a three-year deal from Punjab FC ahead of the Indian Super League 2026-27 season, the club announced on Monday.
Pramveer made headlines in the 2024-25 season when he became the youngest player ever to start an ISL match at just 17 years and 189 days.
He joined PFC’s academy in 2017 and rose through the ranks, playing a key role in the club’s Reliance Foundation Development League (RFDL) title-winning campaign in 2024.
He made his India Under-17 debut at the age of 15 before representing the Blue Colts at the AFC U-17 Asian Cup 2023, starting two group-stage matches against Vietnam and Uzbekistan.

His performances earned him a rapid promotion to the India U-23 setup, where he became the youngest member of Naushad Moosa’s squad for the international friendlies against Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan in 2025.
Following that, he was given a maiden senior national team call-up for the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 Qualifiers by Khalid Jamil.
Speaking after completing his move, Pramveer said, “I’m really excited to join NorthEast United FC and begin this new chapter in my career. The club has shown great ambition over the last few seasons, and I’m grateful for the confidence they’ve placed in me. I can’t wait to meet the Highlanders, wear the jersey, and I’m looking forward to growing as a player and helping the team achieve its goals.”
Head coach Juan Pedro Benali heaped praise on the 19-year-old and said, “Pramveer is a player with tremendous potential and a warrior mentality. For someone so young, he already shows maturity and the courage to take responsibility in difficult moments. He has the hunger to improve and we believe this is the right environment for him to continue his development.”
