NorthEast United FC has completed the transfer of Spanish midfielder Antonio Moyano on a one-year deal, the Indian Super League (ISL) club announced on Wednesday.
He becomes the second foreign signing for the Hinglanders, who parted ways with Andy Rodriguez after the 2025-26 season. Moyano, also a midfielder, is expected to replace Rodriguez, as coach Juan Pedro Benali looks to build a new squad before the upcoming season.
Having made his first-team debut for CA Osasuna in 2019, Moyano has primarily played in the lower rungs of Spanish football, for AD Alcorcón, CE Sabadell and CF Fuenlabrada.
“I have followed Indian football closely over the past year, and NorthEast United is a club with real ambition and a fanbase that lives every match with the team,” Moyano was quoted in a media release.

“I have always tried to be a player who runs for the badge, who is there for his teammates in every phase of the game, and I want to bring that same commitment to the Highlanders.”
Moyano, 26, joins NorthEast United from Diamond Harbour FC, with which he won the Indian Football League (IFL), scoring five goals and assisting across 12 appearances.
“I have watched him closely this past season, and what stands out is his consistency; he gives you the same level in the 90th minute as he does in the first. He will add real balance to our midfield, and I am confident he will settle quickly into our way of playing,” Benali said.
