The Nuh district administration has been placed on high alert ahead of Brajmandal Jalabhishek Yatra scheduled for August 3 and the subsequent Kanwar Yatra. Elaborate security arrangements are being put in place, and a stern warning has been issued against rumour-mongers and those attempting to disturb communal harmony.
DC Akhil Pilani and SP Dr Arpit Jain jointly chaired a meeting of the district-level coordination committee at the Mini Secretariat auditorium with representatives of various religious and social organisations. The meeting focused on ensuring the peaceful and smooth conduct of both religious events.
Emphasising Nuh’s tradition of communal harmony, DC Akhil Pilani said the district’s 36 biradari have always played an active role in maintaining social cohesion and organising religious events through mutual cooperation.
He informed that Brajmandal Jalabhishek Yatra will begin from Nalhadeshwar Temple and proceed via Jhirkeshwar Temple before culminating at Singeshwar Mahadev Temple in Singar village. The district administration will work in close coordination with temple committees to ensure all necessary arrangements are made for the successful conduct of the yatra.
Pilani also appealed to residents to extend full support to devotees participating in Kanwar Yatra. Thousands of ‘kanwariyas’ travelling from Haridwar to Rajasthan are expected to pass through Nuh district in the days after Brajmandal Yatra. He urged citizens to uphold the district’s long-standing tradition of brotherhood and hospitality and to contribute towards maintaining peace and harmony.
SP Dr Arpit Jain said comprehensive security measures have been planned for both religious processions. Additional police personnel will be deployed at sensitive locations, continuous patrolling will be carried out, and special surveillance mechanisms will be put in place to ensure that law and order are maintained throughout the events.
The SP appealed to people not to pay heed to rumours or share inflammatory or provocative content on social media. He urged citizens to exercise restraint in speech and behaviour during the religious gatherings.
Issuing a stern warning, Dr Jain said strict legal action will be taken against individuals found spreading rumours, sharing provocative material, or attempting to disturb communal harmony and public order.
With the two major religious events drawing near, the district administration has reiterated its commitment to ensuring their peaceful conduct through community participation, heightened security, and coordinated efforts among all stakeholders.
