Gagandeep Singh Bedi, Additional Chief Secretary, Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department, reviewed the operation of 45-mld tertiary treatment reverse osmosis (TTRO) in Koyambedu sewage treatment plant premises on Saturday.

A press release said Mr. Bedi directed the Chennai Metrowater officials to take measures to promote the use of treated water for construction purposes.

He checked the quality of treated wastewater and inspected ongoing desilting works of underground sewer network in Natesan Nagar Second Main Road, Kodambakkam zone. Metrowater managing director T. Anand was present, the release said.
