The AP Legislature Public Accounts Committee, under the Chairmanship of Pulaparthi Ramanjaneyulu, reviewed the transfer of professional tax pertaining to the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) during a meeting held at the VMRDA Conference Hall on Thursday.

    The meeting was attended by committee members and MLAs B. Ramanjaneyulu, P. Vishnu Kumar Raju, Sreeram Rajagopal, GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg and a few others.

    During the meeting, Mr. Garg briefed the Committee that a portion of professional tax collected by the government is still pending transfer to the GVMC. He also submitted all relevant records, government orders, and financial statements for the Committee’s examination. Subsequently, Public Accounts Committee Chairman Pulaparthi Ramanjaneyulu and the Committee Members sought some clarifications on various issues.
