Veteran production manager Pachalla Prakash has shared his views on why comedian and television personality Kiraak RP’s food venture, Nellore Peddareddy Chepala Pulusu, eventually shut down.

Speaking in a recent interview, Prakash said the business initially showed promise but failed because consistent quality and taste were not maintained as it expanded.

Prakash revealed that Kiraak RP had approached him for guidance while planning the food business. According to him, RP originally wanted to launch the venture with four different food items, but he advised focusing on a curry point with consistent taste instead.

With Prakash’s support, the first kitchen was launched, followed by four outlets. The business later expanded further through franchise-style branches.

However, customers reportedly began raising complaints about both pricing and food quality.

Prakash claimed that issues such as the balance of salt, spice and sourness in the fish curry were repeatedly highlighted by customers, but the problems were never fully addressed.

He said maintaining consistency was the biggest challenge and ultimately affected the brand’s reputation.

Reflecting on his own career, Prakash said he has spent four decades supplying food on film sets and believes success comes from maintaining quality, hygiene and taste.

According to him, earning a good reputation is more valuable than making quick profits and protecting that reputation is the key to long-term success in any business.

During the interview, Prakash also revealed that he played a major role in introducing actress Charmy Kaur to the Telugu film industry.

He recalled meeting her when she was just 14 years old and helping arrange photo shoots before introducing her to filmmaker Lawrence Master. He later assisted in getting her selected for Sri Anjaneyam, which marked an important step in her acting career.

Prakash also spoke about his son’s acting career, saying he appeared as a child artist in around 46 films, including Simhadri, Aadi and Narasimha Naidu. He added that plans are underway to launch him as a hero.

He further shared his close association with Pawan Kalyan’s family, saying he often serves food to Akira Nandan and Aadhya during film shoots. Prakash also expressed confidence that Akira Nandan has the potential to become a successful actor in the future.
