Prince Yadav has been named as Harshit Rana’s replacement for the three match ODI series against England starting on July 13 at Edgbaston.

Harshit, who had returned to the squad for the Ireland and England T20 series after a lengthy injury layoff which forced him to miss the IPL, sustained a hamstring injury in the third T20I against England.

Prince, who made his India debut in the Afghanistan ODI series on the back of an impressive IPL stint with the Lucknow Super Giants, has had a decent start to his international career.

The 24-year-old has picked up eight wickets in six games across ODIs and T20Is, including a three-wicket haul in the second T20I against Ireland.

Prince becomes the second injury replacement player for the forthcoming series, after Ravi Bishnoi was named as the replacement for Varun Chakravarthy, who has also been ruled out with a hamstring injury.
