More than 30 lakh Punjab electors have submitted their enumeration forms during special camps organised statewide over two days as part of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Anindita Mitra said on Sunday.
The special camps were held at all polling booths in the state on July 11 and 12 from 8 am to 3 pm, where voters submitted their completed enumeration forms to booth level officers (BLOs), she said.
Mitra said over 1.3 crore electors had submitted their enumeration forms during the past 18 days.
She said door-to-door collection of enumeration forms was under way and would continue till July 24.
Appealing to voters who are yet to submit their forms, the CEO urged them to contact respective BLOs without delay.
She said timely submission of enumeration forms is necessary to ensure that every eligible elector’s name is included in the draft electoral rolls scheduled to be published August 3.
