Representatives of all political parties in Manapparai have appealed to the authorities to operate all Manapparai bound buses from the Tiruchi’s Central Bus Stand instead of the integrated bus stand in Panjapur.
A consultative meeting of all political parties to discuss the issue was led by Communist Party of India (CPI) State Agriculture joint secretary T. Indrajit on Sunday and a petition to resolve the issue was handed to the Tiruchi District Collector Pratik Tayal on Monday.
According to a press release, at present, buses to Palani, Dindigul, Cumbum, Theni, and Bodi plying via Manapparai are operated from Panjapur and do not go via Central Bus Stand, making it inconvenient for commuters.
“Passengers headed to Manapparai after work have to wait for long periods as buses on the Tiruchi to Manapparai route from the Central Bus Stand are less frequent . We urge the authorities to resolve this issue at the earliest,” the parties demanded.
