Rhea Ripley has now sent a message after an announcement that WWE was going to crown a new Women's Champion. The new champion will be an interim titleholder until Ripley finally returns to the ring. Once she does, the two will battle to crown the one true champion. The star's absence is due to a knee injury.

Rhea Ripley is currently not a part of WWE's plans for SummerSlam. Her absence has left a huge gap in the women's championship plans, with WWE declaring a ladder match will be contested to crown an interim champion while she's gone.

Now, in a story on her Instagram account, where she's unpacking merchandise and is featured next to Bray Wyatt, The Undertaker, among others, she posted that she was never going to give up.

This was a message coming from her amid her injury and with news that her return may not be too far away. The star being featured next to some of the biggest names of the business on WWE merchandise shows her popularity as well.

With her message clear, whoever wins the Women's Ladder Match at SummerSlam will have to look out, as it won't be too long before the star is breathing down their necks. Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill have qualified for the positions in the match. One of Charlotte Flair and Nia Jax will also be in the match, but the final two positions remain a mystery.

As to when exactly the return will take place, that remains to be seen. Given the current conditions, a title unification match may take place before Survivor Series, but that remains just speculation at this time.
