General Manager of South Coast Railway (SCoR), Sandeep Mathur, stressed that safety remains the foremost priority for the Railway zone. He chaired a high-level review meeting at the SCoR headquarters on Tuesday to evaluate worksite safety protocols, the efficacy of the RailMadad grievance redressal system, and overall passenger service standards.
Addressing the leadership team, Mr. Mathur directed all departments to ensure the rigorous implementation of prescribed safety protocols and the provision of adequate safety equipment for all staff. He further emphasised the necessity of constant on-site supervision to eliminate unsafe practices, noting that a robust safety culture is vital for the protection of both employees and passengers.
Mr. Mathur also conducted a detailed performance review of the RailMadad system, and urged officials to expedite the resolution of pending complaints. He stressed that passenger grievances must be addressed with professionalism, ensuring timely and satisfactory responses followed by quality feedback. Additionally, he instructed departments to analyse complaint trends to identify recurring issues, allowing for proactive measures to enhance overall service delivery and passenger satisfaction.
The meeting was attended by Principal Heads of Departments (PHODs) and the Divisional Railway Managers from the Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Guntur, and Guntakal divisions.
