Nikita Dutta has carved a successful journey in the entertainment industry after beginning her career as a Femina Miss India 2012 finalist. She made her Bollywood debut with Lekar Hum Deewana Dil (2014) before becoming a household name with the television drama Ek Duje Ke Vaaste (2016). Who is actress Nikita Dutt's love guru in the industry?

During an interview with Rediff, Nikita was asked who she would turn to for career advice. Without hesitation, she named Shah Rukh Khan. The actress explained that she admires the superstar's career choices, especially how he didn't begin his journey by playing conventional romantic heroes.

According to Nikita, Shah Rukh experimented with different kinds of roles and even built his career through television before becoming one of Bollywood's biggest stars. She said that his willingness to take risks and evolve as an actor is something she finds inspiring, making him the person she would approach for career guidance.



However, when the conversation shifted to relationships, Nikita had a very different answer. Asked who her "love guru" would be, the actress laughed and said she doesn't have one. She added that "nobody can give love advice. Everybody's wrong."

Why dating is difficult for actors

Nikita also spoke openly about the realities of dating while being a public figure. She admitted that finding love becomes much more complicated when every outing attracts attention.

Explaining her point, the actress said actors are constantly being watched and judged. Even a casual meeting in public or stepping out with a colleague can quickly become the subject of rumours and speculation.

She further shared that one of the biggest challenges is the unpredictable nature of an actor's profession. Film schedules often change at the last minute, and work commitments can appear without warning. According to Nikita, this kind of lifestyle can be difficult for a partner to understand, especially if they are not connected to the entertainment industry.



The actress also pointed out that many professional commitments, such as attending award shows, promotional events or success parties, may appear optional to outsiders but are often an important part of an actor's career. She said explaining why such appearances matter is not always easy, making communication in relationships even more challenging.

Despite these hurdles, Nikita quipped that everyone eventually has to find their own way when it comes to love.

Nikita's comments come years after she found herself at the centre of dating rumours involving singer Jubin Nautiyal. In 2022, the two appeared together in the music video Mast Nazron Se. Soon after, speculation about their relationship spread widely across social media. Both Nikita and Jubin, however, dismissed the rumours and clarified that they were not dating.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Nikita continues to expand her body of work across films and streaming platforms. She is currently seen in Nazdeekiyan, a contemporary relationship drama produced by Dharmatic Entertainment and Karan Johar for Prime Video India.

The series, which premiered in March 2026, explores modern relationships and features an ensemble cast including Paresh Pahuja, Aakanksha Singh and Taaha Shah Badusha alongside Nikita. Having worked across television, films and OTT platforms, Nikita has steadily built a diverse career.
