Kurukshetra Deputy Commissioner Vishram Kumar Meena today informed that the Shahabad Assembly constituency was the first in the state to complete the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process.
The Deputy Commissioner congratulated SDM Shahabad Shambhu Rathee, officials of the Election Department, BLOs, BLAs and all those who assisted in this task.
Meena informed that 185 BLOs carried out the SIR work across 185 polling stations in the Shahabad Assembly constituency. These booths serve a total of 1,72,945 voters. Of them, the data for 1,53,852 voters (88.86%) was digitised, while 19,033 voters (11.04%) were identified under the ASDD category (Absent, Shifted, Dead and Duplicate).
“The Shahabad Assembly constituency completed the SIR process two days ahead of schedule becoming the first Assembly constituency in the state and district to do so. The Special Intensive Revision is being conducted for 7,83,831 voters across 810 booths in the district. So far, enumeration forms have been distributed to 7,81,375 voters, which is 99.69% of the total voters. This includes 99.84% in the Ladwa constituency, 100% in Shahabad, 99.49% in Thanesar and 99.47% in the Pehowa Assembly constituency.
He added that the data for 6,53,872 voters—or 83.42% of the electorate—has already been digitised. This includes work involving 1,76,500 voters (89.19%) in the Ladwa Assembly constituency, 1,53,852 voters (88.96%) in Shahabad, 1,62,190 voters (72.44%) in Thanesar and 1,61,330 voters (85.32%) in Pehowa.
