Sheamus has finally addressed his WWE departure and provided an update for fans. The veteran has not competed in a match since November 2025.
The Celtic Warrior reportedly refused a restructured contract offer from the company and will become a free agent in October. In an interview with Adam's Apple today, Sheamus noted that he had a great 19 years with the company.

The 48-year-old's last match with the promotion took place on the November 17, 2025, episode of WWE RAW. He teamed up with Rey Mysterio and John Cena to defeat The Judgment Day in a six-man tag team match.
Wrestling legend JBL recently shared that he wanted to see Sheamus show up in AAA following his exit from the company.
Speaking on Something to Wrestle, JBL stated that he didn't know what the former leader of The Brawling Brutes' future was with the company. The Hall of Famer suggested that he show up in AAA and rejuvenate his career.
The Irish Curse accomplished a lot during his time in the company but was never able to win the Intercontinental Championship. Only time will tell what the future holds for the popular star in the world of professional wrestling.
