Caitlin Clark returned to the Indiana Fever's lineup for the first time in two weeks during their 106-92 loss to the LA Sparks. Her return, however, was short-lived, with the guard being put on a minute restriction by Stephanie White, whose rotation pattern had fans livid.

WNBA writer Robin Lundberg discussed Clark's playing time on Wednesday, pointing to White's substitution pattern in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

Clark played 16 minutes in her return, finishing with nine points, four rebounds and a minus-16 plus-minus. Although it was her first game back after two weeks, many fans disagreed with White's decision to keep her on the bench for much of the game and voiced their frustration in response to Lundberg's post.

However, not all fans had an issue with White's decisions, as a few highlighted how Clark needed rest, especially after her subpar performance.

While opinions remain divided over Clark's limited minutes, the Fever will focus on the result. The defeat was their first in two games, with Indiana managing to outscore the Sparks in only one quarter. Meanwhile, the defeat also continued a difficult run for Clark, who has now been on the winning side just once in her last five appearances for Indiana.

Caitlin Clark returned to action on Wednesday after missing time with a back injury. The Indiana Fever guard, however, only suited up for 16 minutes against the LA Sparks and made limited impact as Indiana fell to a heavy road defeat.

However, ahead of the defeat, Clark reflected on her return, highlighting her minutes restriction.

Clark will hope to add more minutes in the coming days as she looks for her first win with the Fever since late June.
