The Singapore government has expressed its willingness to extend technical cooperation for the development of Amaravati by providing expertise, training and advisory support across key sectors of the greenfield capital project.
The assurance was conveyed during a meeting between Andhra Pradesh Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister P. Narayana and a Singapore government delegation in Amaravati on Tuesday. The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in urban planning, infrastructure development and technology partnerships.
According to an official release, the Singapore delegation said it was ready to share its experience in executing large-scale urban development projects and provide technical know-how, expert training, professional guidance and consultancy services. The delegation reaffirmed Singapore’s commitment to supporting Andhra Pradesh in developing Amaravati as a world-class capital city.
The meeting also explored cooperation in project implementation, quality standards, urban planning, technical assistance and capacity building. Both sides discussed mechanisms for sustained collaboration and knowledge sharing to facilitate the capital’s development.
The delegation comprised Francis Chong, Senior Director, Ministry of Trade and Industry; Tay Lian Chee, Chief Executive, Singapore Cooperation Enterprise; and Deputy Directors Lim Chi Kia and Nisha Sharda. Municipal Administration Principal Secretary S. Suresh Kumar, APCRDA Commissioner K. Vijay Rama Raju and other senior officials were present.
