The special investigation team (SIT) probing the alleged malpractices in the Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC) examination system carried out checks at the PSC headquarters in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday (July 20, 2026).

In the fourth round of checks carried out by the SIT led by Inspector General (IG) Ajeetha Begum, the team mainly looked at the software used for conducting examinations.

The team was accompanied by IT experts to look into the examination software that involves an On-Screen Marking (OSM) system. The Internal Vigilance Wing of the PSC had found anomalies in the valuation of 10 questions in the examination for the Chief (Industry and Infrastructure) post in the State Planning Board.

According to the interim report filed by the vigilance officer, the answers to nine questions for any of the 228 candidates had not been evaluated due to an error in assigning these questions for evaluation in the OSM system.
