    Looking for something new to watch this week? Whether you're in the mood for an emotional family drama, an edge-of-your-seat thriller or a light-hearted comedy, this week's lineup has something for every kind of viewer. Netflix is leading the pack with several international releases, while Apple TV+ is bringing back a fan-favourite series. Meanwhile, Disney's live-action Moana is finally arriving in theatres before making its way to streaming. Here's a look at the biggest Hollywood movies and shows to add to your watchlist.

    Nothing to Lose – Netflix
    The French crime drama follows Jada, a mother who is willing to risk everything to save her critically ill son. As she struggles to find a bone marrow donor, she is pulled into a dangerous criminal world where every decision comes with a heavy price. The film stars Nawell Madani in the lead role and premiered on Netflix on July 8.

    Salcedo, Leather & Boogaloo – Netflix
    This Colombian dark crime comedy centres on Martín Salcedo, whose comfortable life begins to fall apart after he crosses paths with mysterious people linked to the city's nightlife. What starts as curiosity soon turns into a web of secrets, crime and unexpected trouble. The series debuted on Netflix on July 8.




    Trying Season 5 – Apple TV+
    The much-loved comedy-drama returns with another emotional chapter for Nikki and Jason. Their family faces a new challenge when the biological mother of their adopted children reappears, forcing everyone to deal with difficult emotions and changing relationships. Esther Smith, Rafe Spall and Charlotte Riley return to lead the cast. The new season started streaming on Apple TV+ on July 8.

    I'm Not Afraid – Netflix
    Set during the 1986 FIFA World Cup in Mexico, this coming-of-age mystery thriller follows a 10-year-old boy whose shocking discovery changes the course of his childhood. As he uncovers disturbing truths, he is forced to confront fear, survival and the darker side of human nature. The series stars Luis Alberti, Fátima Molina and Humberto Busto, and was released on Netflix on July 8.

    Little House on the Prairie – Netflix
    Based on the beloved book series, this fresh adaptation follows the Ingalls family as they build a new life on the American frontier. Along with celebrating family bonds and hope, the series also explores the challenges of surviving in an unpredictable wilderness. Rebecca Sonnenshine serves as the showrunner. Little House on the Prairie premiered on Netflix on July 9.

    The Westies – Prime Video
    Set in New York's Hell's Kitchen during the early 1980s, this crime drama follows the rise of the notorious Irish-American gang led by Eamon Sweeney. As the group tries to profit from the construction of the Jacob Javits Convention Center, they find themselves locked in a fierce battle for power and respect against the city's dominant Italian mob. The series stars J.K. Simmons, Titus Welliver, Tom Brittney, Stanley Morgan, Sarah Bolger, Jessica Frances Dukes, Hamish Allan-Headley, Vincent Walsh and Allen Leech. Directed by Alan Taylor and Chris Grismer, The Westies premieres on Prime Video on July 12, 2026.
