Lakshya Raichandani scored another century as India U-19 pressed home its advantage over Sri Lanka U-19 in the 2nd Youth Test between the sides at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Thursday, July 22.
Resuming from 122/8 overnight, Sri Lanka’s innings came to a quick conclusion as India nipped out the final two wickets for just 26 runs, claiming a lead of 263 runs. Rohit Yadav finished the pick of the bowlers with figures of two for 14.
Raichandani then took over as India opted to bat again. He finished the innings on 100 not out from 116 balls with nine fours and a six, while Manal Chauhan built on his first-innings ton with an unbeaten 51 from 46 balls with seven fours and a six.

India declared in its second innings on 208/3, setting Sri Lanka a target of 472.
Chigurupati Venkata then struck thrice with the new ball to reduce Sri Lanka to 36 for three, before Senuja Wekunagoda and captain Vimath Dinsara mounted a resistance. Both scored half-centuries, but Wekunagoda was dismissed for 64 by Manal, leaving Dinsara to survive with Kavija Gamage till the end of the day.
Sri Lanka needs another 317 runs with six wickets in hand at the close of play.
