Aaron Rodgers shared new photos with his previously estranged family this week, and former coach Rex Ryan has some advice. Ryan tweeted his reaction on X on Wednesday while retweeting a post from B/R Gridiron. That post showed Rodgers' Instagram photos with his parents and brother.
Rodgers posted pictures with his mother, Darla; his father, Ed; and his brother, Luke. He wrote "Another bonding week #fam" as the caption. Rodgers, who joined Instagram in 2017, had never posted photos with his parents or Luke before.

Ryan coached the New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills during his career. Aaron Rodgers is entering his second season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He spent 18 years with the Green Bay Packers and a short stint with the New York Jets before that.
Aaron Rodgers' split with his family became public in 2016. That year, his younger brother, Jordan, appeared on the reality show "The Bachelorette." Jordan brought his now-wife to meet his family on the show. Two chairs at the dinner table stayed empty, which were meant for Rodgers and his girlfriend at the time, Olivia Munn.
Rodgers talked about the issue in his 2024 Netflix documentary, "Aaron Rodgers: Enigma." He called the situation "heartbreaking." But he also said he was open to fixing things. Asked if he wanted to reconcile with his family, Rodgers said, "Yeah, of course. Of course."
On the football side, he is set to reunite with former Packers coach Mike McCarthy, who is now the Steelers' head coach. Rodgers has said this will be his last season in the NFL.
