To facilitate quick darshan to the common devotees and to bring down waiting time in queue lines on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays, the management of Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple at Srisailam has announced certain changes in darshan to VIPs.

Srisailam temple Trust Board Chairman Pothugunta Ramesh Naidu and Executive Officer M. Srinivasa Rao jointly announced the changes to the break darshan system on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays for the convenience of ordinary devotees, given the unprecedented daily rise in pilgrim footfall at Srisailam. 

Speaking on the occasion, they stated that on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays, 'Sparsha Darshan’ (touch darshan) during morning hours would be provided exclusively to devotees who have obtained tickets in advance via the 'Manamitra’ WhatsApp service or online platforms. 

Similarly, Sparsha Darshan arrangements for VIPs during morning hours would be made based on priority only when the VIPs visit in person. They said devotees arriving with recommendation letters from VIPs would be granted Sparsha Darshan only during night hours — specifically starting from 9 p.m. — subject to availability. Such devotees would not be eligible for Sparsha Darshan during the morning hours. 

They added that these changes would enable ordinary devotees in the ‘Sarva Darshan’ (free darshan) queues, as well as those in the ‘Sheegra’ (quick) and ‘Ati-Sheegra’ (ultra-quick) darshan queues to have a smoother and easier darshan of the presiding deities without enduring long waiting times.

The Chairman and EO have requested devotees to take note of these changes and extend their cooperation with the Devasthanam.
