A stray dog that had bitten two residents in the Podanur area of Coimbatore has died, triggering fear among residents amid complaints of increasing stray dog menace in the city.

    According to residents, the dog had bitten a 42-year-old man residing on Third Street in MGR Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, and a 56-year-old man employed at a commercial establishment in the same locality a few days ago. Both were administered anti-rabies treatment at the Podanur Urban Primary Health Centre.

    The stray dog was found dead on Wednesday morning, causing concern among residents of the area.
