Hundreds of students joined the National Students’ Union of India’s (NSUI) “Mashaal March – Chhatron Ki Goonj” in Mukherjee Nagar on Friday, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and a ban on the National Testing Agency (NTA) over alleged examination irregularities.
The march began from Batra Cinema, with students carrying flaming torches and raising slogans against what they described as repeated failures in the examination system. Protesters alleged that paper leaks and administrative lapses had affected lakhs of students and demanded greater accountability from the Centre.
Students also raised concerns over examination transparency, accountability and equal opportunities in higher education. They called for reforms to ensure a fair and transparent system for national-level entrance examinations.
The march ended peacefully, with participants reiterating their demand for reforms in the examination process and stronger measures to improve transparency.
