The Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) has filed a report before the Kerala High Court stating that Sabarimala will be the priority site for implementing the pilot phase of the board’s Enterprise Digital Transformation programme ahead of the upcoming Mandalam-Makaravilakku season at the Sabarimala Temple.

The Division Bench of Justices V. Raja Vijayaraghavan and K.V. Jayakumar was informed that the board had approved an advance of ₹15 lakh to meet the initial operational expenses of the project management unit in charge of implementing the transformation programme.

The board also provided updates on the implementation of the programme, aimed at ensuring transparency, operational efficiency, accountability, financial discipline, and improved service delivery in matters relating to temple administration and public interaction.

It was reported that an AS-IS study would be undertaken on the board’s existing business processes and that module-wise workshops would be conducted to finalise the requirements for priority areas such as accounts, temple administration, and sales.

The court was informed that No Objection Certificates had been obtained from the State for the appointment of Rahul A. Raj as the chief administrative officer of the project management unit and K.P. Noufal as the chief software architect.

The report stated that a formal agreement with Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd. (Keltron) was being finalised for procuring the hardware required for the project and that the K-Suite file management system, used across Kerala by local self-government institutions, had been implemented for the project’s day-to-day operations.

The court directed the board to present a comprehensive timeline indicating key milestones and expected completion dates to effectively monitor the project’s progress.
