A 17-year-old boy died after being allegedly stabbed during a confrontation with his girlfriend’s brother in southeast Delhi’s Molarband area, with police apprehending three accused and launching a search for others involved in the incident.

    According to police, information about the stabbing was received through DD No. 94A around 8 pm on Sunday from local beat staff regarding an incident near Pandey Medical Store in Gali No. 4 on 40-Foot Road, Molarband, under the Badarpur police station limits.

    A preliminary inquiry revealed that the victim, a resident of Molarband Extension, had allegedly been called to the spot by the brother of a girl with whom he was reportedly in a relationship. The teenager arrived at the location accompanied by three friends, where an altercation allegedly broke out between the two groups.

    During the confrontation, the victim was allegedly stabbed in the chest and abdomen with a sharp-edged weapon. He was rushed to the AIIMS Trauma Centre in a critical condition. However, he later succumbed to his injuries.

    Officials said a police team inspected the crime scene, and a case has been registered under relevant Sections of law.

    Three accused have been apprehended in connection with the case, while police teams are conducting raids to trace the remaining suspects, they said. Further probe is on, they added.
