
Thalapathy Vijay's political action thriller Jana Nayagan has continued its strong box office performance despite witnessing a drop in collections on its second day. The film, which opened to a massive response, crossed the Rs 50 crore India net milestone within just two days of release and has now surpassed Rs 100 crore in worldwide gross earnings.
Directed by H. Vinoth and produced by Venkat K. Narayana under KVN Productions, Jana Nayagan marks a significant milestone in Vijay's career as it is his final film appearance before entering politics. The film also holds another major distinction as it is the first Vijay-starrer to release after he assumed office as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. It also marks KVN Productions' debut Tamil-language production.
The film's total India gross collection has reached Rs 75 crore, while its India net collection stands at Rs 63.85 crore so far.
The overseas market has also contributed significantly to the film's performance. Jana Nayagan earned Rs 10 crore overseas on Day 2, taking its total overseas gross collection to Rs 37.50 crore. With this, the film's worldwide gross collection has reached Rs 112.50 crore.
The Hindi version earned Rs 1.85 crore net with 11 per cent occupancy from 4,567 shows, while the Telugu version collected Rs 1.35 crore net with 24 per cent occupancy across 1,317 shows.
Jana Nayagan features Vijay in the lead role alongside Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde and Mamitha Baiju. The film also stars Nassar, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Narain and Priyamani in key roles.

According to Sacnilk, Jana Nayagan collected Rs 21.15 crore net across 12,190 shows on its second day at the Indian box office. The second-day earnings were lower compared to its opening day performance, but the film maintained strong momentum by crossing Rs 50 crore in India net collections within two days.The film's total India gross collection has reached Rs 75 crore, while its India net collection stands at Rs 63.85 crore so far.

As per Sacnilk, the Tamil version collected Rs 17.95 crore net on Day 2 with an occupancy rate of 44 per cent across 6,306 shows.The Hindi version earned Rs 1.85 crore net with 11 per cent occupancy from 4,567 shows, while the Telugu version collected Rs 1.35 crore net with 24 per cent occupancy across 1,317 shows.
