Dallas Wings star Paige Bueckers suffered an unfortunate fall after she collided with LA Sparks forward Nneka Ogwumike. While Bueckers was on defense, Ogwumike was running with the ball and fell onto Bueckers' right leg after being tripped. While falling on the two-time All-Star's leg was bad enough, it didn't get better after the replay was shown.

It happened around the 3:33 mark of the fourth quarter, and the Wings were up 80-76. The replay showed that the back of Bueckers' head hit the hardwood. She stayed on the floor for some time before walking off the court and heading back to the locker room.

Paige Bueckers is a big part of why the Wings have been successful this season. They are 17-8 this season and added another victory to their record after defeating the Sparks, 90-82. They have also recorded their sixth straight win on Sunday.

After the contest, coach Jose Fernandez was asked about Bueckers' injury. According to Fernandez, there was no immediate update on the WNBA star yet. However, he told the media that he would have an idea about it later on Sunday.

Mike Leslie, broadcaster for the Wings, added that there was a good sign regarding Bueckers' health after the game.

Fans are concerned for Paige Bueckers because she previously missed three straight games in June 2025 due to a head injury. The Wings placed the WNBA star in the league's concussion protocol at the time.
