Spain are firm favourites to win the game in New York, which could be Lionel Messi's last in the FIFA World Cup. The European champions are looking to win their second title, having also won the competition 16 years ago in South Africa.

Luis de la Fuente's side defeated pre-tournament favourites France comprehensively in the semi-final, claiming a dominant 2-0 win. The South American champions, on the other hand, needed to come from behind to overcome England in their own semi-final.

Controversial US President Donald Trump is set to attend the FIFA World Cup final between Spain and Argentina. The game is set to take place at the New York New Jersey Stadium on Sunday to conclude this summer's tournament.
