The Kurukshetra police have arrested the third accused in connection with the case of thrashing a temple’s priest at Adhoni village.
The accused has been identified as Indra Ram, a resident of Kurukshetra. DSP Nirmal Singh informed that on July 9, information was received that Pankaj, his wife Manpreet and Indra Ram had thrashed Yogiraj Giri, priest of the village temple. A case was registered and Pankaj and his wife were arrested. On Saturday, the third accused was also arrested. He was produced before a court which sent him to jail.
Meanwhile, Sub-Inspector Randhir Singh, Station House Officer (SHO) of Sadar Thanesar police station, stated that on July 11, a police team had taken accused Pankaj to Sanvla village in search of the third accomplice. Near Sanvla village, Pankaj expressed a need to relieve himself. So a police officer took him to the roadside. With the intention of escaping, the accused jumped off a flyover. He sustained a leg fracture upon falling and was subsequently taken to LNJP Hospital.
