Chidambaram MP Thol. Thirumavalavan on Wednesday asked the officials to ensure the implementation of both Central and State governments’ schemes in a time-bound manner.
Presiding over the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee meeting held here, he said that a number of schemes was being implemented in the district. There should be no delay in implementing the schemes. Steps should be taken to implement the schemes in a time-bound manner.
He earlier reviewed the progress of various schemes with the officials. The Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission, National Rural Self-Governance Mission, Pradhan Mantri Adarsh yojana, Member of Parliament Constituency Development Scheme, 15th Finance Commission Grant, Tamil Nadu State Rural Livelihood Mission, National Social Security Scheme and Pradhan and Mantri Micro Irrigation were among the schemes reviewed by Mr. Thirumavalavan.
Collector N. Mirunalini stated the progress of various schemes and the steps taken to implement them. Ariyalur MLA Thamarai S. Rajendran, Jayankondam MLA K. Vaithilingam and senior officials participated.
