The Tiruppur Corporation has instructed owners/ users of residential, industrial and commercial establishments to rectify discrepancies, if any, in the property tax assessment by themselves.

    They are required to fill and submit the property tax assessment Forms - 1/2/3 on their own with the correct assessment. Discrepancies/deficiencies in the taxation of buildings during the field inspection by the Corporation officials will lead to legal action, and fines will be imposed as per the Tamil Nadu Urban Local Governments Act, 1998 and the Rules thereunder, 2023, the instructions state.

    Stating that the taxes paid promptly will be utilised for development works, the civic body has urged the assessees to avoid legal action, including confiscation.

    The tax amounts are collected in cash or by cheque/draft, at the Tiruppur Corporation office, and at Chettipalayam, Thottipalayam, Nerupperichal, Mannarai, Kumaran Commercial Complex, Muthanampalayam, Veerapandi, Murugampalayam and Pandian Nagar, from 9.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    Payment could also be made through the website: https://tnurbanepay.tn.gov.in, and through through mobile apps like G-Pay, Phone Pay, and Paytm.
