The second half of the MLB season is now underway, and several sluggers who enjoyed solid first halves will be looking to continue swinging a hot bat. They will take the field again on Saturday, looking for more success at the plate.

Let's look at the top five players likely to hit home runs.

Considering how many superstar hitters the LA Dodgers have on their lineup, it is perhaps a surprise to see veteran third baseman Max Muncy as the player with the second-most home runs on the team this year.

Muncy has already gone yard 20 times this season, and we could see him add to that tally on Saturday.

Another third baseman that has cleared the fences on a consistent basis this season, Kazuma Okamoto currently leads the Toronto Blue Jays for home runs. He is batting .227 with 23 home runs and 65 RBIs.

With three All-Star selections and two Silver Slugger awards to his name, Ketel Marte is an accomplished hitter, and he has been solid for the Arizona Diamondbacks once again this year.

For the 2026 season, Marte is batting .258 with 18 home runs and 60 RBIs. We could see him improve his stats on Saturday.

Kyle Schwarber is second in the major leagues for home runs, having gone yard 33 times. It would not be a surprise to see him clear the fences once again on Saturday.

The only player that has more home runs than Kyle Schwarber, it is only fair that Yordan Alvarez also beats the Phillies slugger to top spot in this list. Having missed much of the 2025 season due to injury, Alvarez is now back to his dominant best.

Batting .327 with 34 home runs and 77 RBIs, he has arguably been the best all-round hitter in the big leagues this year, and it may be worth backing him to enjoy more success at the plate on Saturday.
