Spain attacker Lamine Yamal talked about a viral moment with his younger brother, Keyne, after the 2-1 2026 FIFA World Cup quarter-final win over Belgium on Friday (July 10) at Los Angeles Stadium, Inglewood.

Fabian Ruiz opened the scoring for La Roja after 30 minutes, pouncing on a loose clearance from Thibaut Courtois, who had foiled Dani Olmo's initial strike only to put the ball as far away as Ruiz.

However, the Red Devils responded through Charles De Ketelaere four minutes before the break as La Roja conceded a World Cup goal for the first time in nearly 11 hours. Following a leg injury, Courtois came off for Manchester United's Senne Lammens, who spilled Pau Cubarsi's shot, and substitute Mikel Merino made no mistake.

Post-game, Yamal opened up on how his brother Keyne told him tnat he would stick his tongue out when the cameras pan towards him:

Lamine Yamal and Co. next take on two-time winners France on Tuesday (July 14) at Dallas Stadium, Inglewood.

Lamine Yamal has thrown down the gauntlet to 2026 FIFA World Cup favourites France ahead of their semi-final meeting in Dallas next week as Les Bleus look to reach a third straight final.

La Roja are into the World Cup last four for the first time since their 2010 title-winning campaign in South Africa, also winning five straight games for the first time in 16 years.

Having beaten Didier Deschamps' side in the UEFA Euro 2024 semi-final en route winning the title, Yamal reckons his team could do it again (as per India Today):

Lamine Yamal scored the equaliser in that game before Dani Olmo bagged a late winner to send La Roja through to the final, where they beat England 2-1.
