    Borse's recent film Lenin hit the theatres on July 10
    Actress Bhagyashri Borse is on top of the world with her recent film Lenin performing well at the theatres so far. In an interview, the actress revealed her journey to success was not easy. She stated that she hailed from a lower middle class family and had seen her father reduced to begging for a job to sustain his family of four.

    Borse, said her father lost his job and she had never seen financial stability and had grown up watching her parents fight to be financially solvent. She shared an anecdote about how she once saw her father beg for a job. “I saw my father asking someone: ‘Please give me a job, I have two daughters.’ ” Keenly watching such struggles made her determined to earn money and help her family to financial prosperity.

    Bhagyashri started her career with small roles in films such as Chandu Champion and Yaariyan 2. However, she got her breakthrough with the 2024 romantic action drama Mr Bachchan, which also starred Ravi Teja. The action thriller Kingdom, which starred Vijay Deverakonda brought further recognition.


    She later secured a leading role opposite Ram Pothineni in Andhra King Taluka. She also made her Tamil cinema debut alongside Dulquer Salmaan in Kaantha. Her performance in the film earned widespread appreciation from both audiences and critics, with many hailing her as a contemporary successor to the legendary Mahanati for her impressive screen presence and acting skills.

    Bhagyashri was born in Aurangabad and lived in Lagos, Nigeria for several years before moving back to India.
